Is there some here who does not understand metric measurements? 3.3mm per year will be a culminative 0.2475 metres by 2100 ie around 10 inches, or 13 inches if the rise per year is actually 4.4mm.

As the article made clear, the rate of rise is accelerating, and the global average rise disguises much larger rises in certain regions. The first paper cited projects a global average rise of 4.2 metres.

Yes, yes, the rate of rise increases each time NASA puts up a new sea level measuring satellite, mean while, tide gauges from around the world show a steady increase of 1-2mm a year and have done since levels started to be recorded. That is except for places were the land has not been shown to be sinking.
